We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and detail-oriented professional for a Document Formatting and Production Specialist opportunity in our Ventura, CA office.

This position's primary responsibility is to physically and digitally produce environmental and planning reports to transmit to Clients. This involves utilizing copiers and binding equipment to production paper copies and using computer programs to incorporate imagery, charts, graphs, and tables for digital copies.The production specialist will work with a team of environmental science project managers, technical graphics staff (GIS, AutoCADD) and a range of marketing staff. The work demands having a keen eye for detail, the ability to work with multiple deadlines, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities include:

  • Fix formatting of Word documents with adherence to styles and templates
  • Create bookmarked PDF files for internal printing or to submit via email directly to clients
  • Print reports using high-volume printers, comb bind and ship them to clients; burn and label CDs; shipping via Fedex; take care of certified mailings
  • Work with different departments to meet requirements and deadlines

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • At least one year of experience working in a creative, corporate environment is required
  • Some experience with creating and editing Adobe pdf files
  • Functions well in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible within deadline driven due dates
  • Strives for accuracy and efficiency

Other Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience working with production machines (copiers, printers, binding machines)
  • Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great communications skills and some writing ability
  • Expert at multi-tasking and prioritizing
  • Ability to work in a team environment, initiative to work and learn independently and proactively contribute to department goals
