We have an immediate opening for an Environmental Scientistin our Fresno, CA office.

The Environmental Scientist will:

  • Prepare and manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Perform subsurface investigations for residential, commercial, and public work projects
  • Perform field mapping, borehole logging, and aerial photographic analysis
  • Manage hazardous materials evaluations in the field
  • Design and oversee soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects
  • Design, evaluate, and implement site remediation strategies
  • Review, interpret, and summarize laboratory results
  • Conduct storm water compliance inspections for infrastructure projects and industrial sites
  • Manage projects with local, State, or Federal agency oversight from concept to completion
  • Write technical reports and proposals with a focus on QA/QC
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulating agencies, and municipalities
  • Conduct business development and marketing efforts to strategically support and grow practice
  • Prepare and manage budgets and schedules to meet the clients goals and expectations
  • Designing figures, charts, and tables

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or another related field
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training
  • Knowledge of current and emerging California groundwater policies and procedures with particular expertise in RWQCB and DTSC directives and goals
  • At least 3 years of direct, relevant professional work experience in California
  • California P.E. or P.G. license a plus
  • QSP/QSD a plus
  • Highly motivated with excellent documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong time management skills, and innovative
  • Ability to navigate over uneven terrain in adverse weather conditions
