We have an immediate opening for an Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Hydrogeologist in our Carlsbad, Sacramento, Oakland, Los Angeles, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara offices.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Oversee, direct, and execute soil and groundwater assessment and remediation programs for a variety of sectors
  • Prepare and manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Oversee, direct, and execute stormwater compliance programs for large infrastructure projects and industrial sites
  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret technical data relative to project-specific goals
  • Conduct basic fate and transport analysis and provide statistical evaluations of chemical data
  • Design, evaluate, and implement site remediation strategies
  • Write technical reports and proposals with a focus on QA/QC
  • Manage projects with local, State, or Federal agency oversight from concept to completion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulating agencies, and municipalities
  • Conduct business development and marketing efforts to strategically support and grow practice
  • Prepare and manage budgets and schedules to meet the clients goals and expectations

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or another related field
  • At least 2 to 5 years of direct, relevant work experience in California
  • California P.E. or P.G. license
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training
  • Qualified SWPPP Practitioner is a plus
  • Knowledge of current and emerging California groundwater policies and procedures with particular expertise in RWQCB and DTSC directives and goals
  • Highly motivated with excellent documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong time management skills, and innovative
  • QSD/QSP training is a plus
  • California P.E. or P.G. license is a plus
