We are seeking driven, determined and detail-oriented professionals to join our highly regarded Environmental Planning and Sustainability team in any one of our 14 offices located throughout California.

The Associate Environmental Planner/Scientist will:

  • Participate in the preparation of all levels of CEQA/NEPA documents
  • Perform research for complex municipal planning projects and private land development projects
  • Plan and participate in site visits for technical field work
  • Prepare technical documents including Air Quality, Greenhouse Gas, Noise and Visual Impact Analyses
  • Engage various members of public agency and private client staff to discuss matters related to land use planning, CEQA/NEPA compliance, and land development/entitlements
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our public and private clients
  • Reinforce Rincon’s professional reputation and demonstrate the ability to be creative and innovative with these tasks while representing Rincon in a professional manner
  • Work closely with Rincon Principal(s) and Managers to promote our business interests in adherence with the company’s mission, vision, and values

 

Experience and Skills:

Qualified candidates will generally have completed a BA/BS degree or higher (preferably in environmental science, urban planning or a related discipline). Successful candidates will possess 1-3 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, land use planning, land development/entitlements, and/or urban design. Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills are required. Experience with preparing CEQA and/or NEPA documents is required.
